DP&L – Lighting the Way to Savings
Turn $1.30 in savings into $1,252!

Did you know the average home has 40 light bulb sockets? To help replace those inefficient, incandescent bulbs, DP&L is offering an average of $1.30 off each compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) you buy, making it super affordable. At 40 bulbs, that’s $52 in savings now. And since each CFL can save you another $30 over its lifetime, that’s $1,200 in savings later for a total of $1,252 overall.

DP&L is adding new CFL discounts for 2010.

Save Money: Switch all the bulbs in your home to energy-efficient CFLs and you can save $1,252!

Save Energy: CFLs use 75% less energy than standard incandescent light bulbs.

Save the Earth: Okay, just installing a CFL won’t save the Earth. But, it’s one step that will make a difference in reducing energy use!

One CFL equals about 9 incandescent bulbs, so that’s less solid waste in our local landfills
Using CFLs helps reduce the amount of energy needed to light your home, which ultimately translates into lower carbon emissions and a reduced impact on our region’s natural resources.
